Dragon Wang is the founding and managing partner of SITAO.Mr. Wang is a patent attorney qualified by the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and a patent litigator qualified by the Supreme People’s Court of China. He has been taking care of patent matters in various industries and technical areas, including automotive, semi-space, wireless technologies, and the Internet of Things. He has been handling the full spectrum of patent-related work, including prosecution, re-examination, invalidation actions and civil litigations, with a focus on patent monetisation.

Mr. Wang has accumulated over 25 years’ experience as both an in-house patent counsel at the Foxconn group where he was responsible for the creation and enforcement of global patent portfolios, and more recently as a private patent practitioner at a leading PRC IP law firm, where he has served as vice president for the past six years. He provides counselling and strategic planning in the creation, enforcement, and commercialisation of Chinese patent portfolios for numerous Fortune 500 corporations. Mr. Wang has been recently focusing on patent monetisation, covering patent transactions, licensing, and litigation.

Since 2017, Mr. Wang has been engaged by global top tier licensing firms, sovereign patent funds, patent pools, operating firms in the telecommunication industry and innovative SMEs to provide consulting services regarding the transaction, license, and enforcement of patent assets in China.

Mr Wang has authored many articles related to the protection and enforcement of Chinese patent rights. He is also very active in IP conferences, seminars, and academic events, where he frequently acts as a moderator and speaker.

Mr. Wang has been consistently recognized in the IAM Strategy 300 as one of the world’s leading IP strategists since 2020. As of 2025, he also serves as Vice-Chair of the Dispute Resolution Committee of the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI).
