Vera Wang is Senior Legal Counsel at Tencent, advising on standard-essential patent (SEP) matters. Prior to joining Tencent, Ms. Wang spent six years as Legal Director at a major multinational consumer electronics corporation, managing the company’s European SEP litigation and FRAND-related proceedings. Her professional background also includes ten years at the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), where she served as a Senior Patent Examiner. Ms. Wang holds an LLM from UC Davis School of Law, building on her technical background in Communication Engineering and Pattern Recognition.
