Julia Zhu currently serves as the Senior Director of Intellectual Property at OPPO, primarily responsible for global intellectual property dispute resolution. She leads her team in handling global intellectual property litigation and licensing, advancing intellectual property strategies, and overseeing IP operations. She has extensive experience in patent litigation across multiple fields and jurisdictions and has participated in cutting-edge intellectual property disputes in various legal domains.
Since 2007, Julia Zhu has been dedicated to China’s telecommunications industry, working for communication terminal companies and handling comprehensive intellectual property matters within the sector. She has also served as a practical tutor for intellectual property at Jinan University and as a copyright dispute mediator in Shenzhen. Currently, she is a member of the Intellectual Property Professional Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)/China Chamber of International Commerce Mediation Center and an arbitrator at the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration.
Julia Zhu graduated from the Law School of Renmin University of China and possesses a multidisciplinary background in law, network engineering, and journalism. She holds qualifications as a Chinese legal professional and a patent agent and is proficient in both Chinese and English as her working languages.
