Peter Zhang is the licensing programme leader in China for Philips. Under this role, Peter is heavily involved in the negotiations of SEP licensing on multiple technologies including 3G/4G/5G, MPEG Video, HEVC, AAC, DVB, Wi-fi, wireless power, and associated litigations in multiple jurisdictions, including China, India, Germany, UK, the Netherlands, Spain, USA, and Brazil. Before taking his current role, Peter was principal IP counsel for Philips in China, dealing with all kinds of high profile projects including M&A, divesture, litigation, counselling, and creation. Peter is certified China attorney and certified China patent agent since 2002. In addition to his law master degrees from Renmin University of China and Northwestern University of USA, Peter also has an engineering bachelor from Tongji University of China and an international MBA degree jointly developed by Fudan University of China and MIT Sloan Business School of USA.
